Festival Events
General Admission is $5.00 per person. Children 5 and under are free.
Children's games will be available throughout the weekend and tickets can be purchased for $1
Cash - Visa - Mastercard will all be accepted at the entrance gate.
A $5 general weekend admission pass grants you a tour of the three
Maritime Heritage Alliance ships that are docked.
For children, $5 grants them admission on the ships
and also five tickets for carnival games.
Food vendors will be on-hand all three festival days.
Art exhibitors as well as non-profit agencies will also be on hand throughout the weekend.

Song of the Lakes concert - Come “Celebrate the Great Lakes” with internationally acclaimed folk band, Song of the Lakes. As an opening night presentation of Traverse City’s 2nd Annual Michigan Schooner Festival, this highly interactive family show will feature traditional songs and sea shanties of the Age of Sail. Song of the Lakes will share the stage with Michigan storytellers featuring fun and fascinating stories of our lakes, our land, our people. This program will benefit regional cultural organizations through the Michigan Humanities Council. A cash refreshment bar is available in the main lobby. Tickets can be puchased here at the City Opera House Box Office.

Grand Traverse Bay Sailing Tour - A relaxing luxurious voyage, cool breezes running through your hair, an unmatched view...sound good? Then this event is for you! Michigan Schooner Festival Food Court - This delicious showcase of local restaurants is open for business at 10:00am! Be there to sample some of Traverse City's favorites. After you've had your fill, head on over to the children's tents and watch the kids enjoy our traditional carnival games.
